Your tasks
  • Teaching at Bachelor’s and Master’s level as well as in continuing education in the field of environmental hydraulics (in particular rehabilitation of hydropower, restoration of running waters, flood protection, surges and sags, hydrodynamic simulation, urban water management, green infrastructure)
  • Supervision of student projects
  • Development, management and implementation of applied research projects, mainly in the research focus "Soil and Water", in collaboration with researchers from the Institute for Construction and Environmental Technologies iTEC
  • Participation in the development of continuing education offers
Desired profile
  • Master’s degree (ETH/University/FH) in hydraulics, civil engineering or equivalent qualification
  • Doctorate or equivalent research achievement
  • Several years of professional experience in an engineering office in the field of environmental hydraulics or comparable experience
  • Advanced skills in numerical modelling
  • Communication and teamwork skills
  • Proficiency in German or French with very good knowledge of the other language; good English skills

Additional information

  • The position as tenure-track assistant professor FH is limited to four years. Upon positive evaluation, transfer to an associate FH professorship is planned.
