Main Responsibilities
- Coordinate and optimise daily dispatch operations to ensure efficient and timely transportation of goods.
- Manage and supervise the dispatch team, providing leadership, training, and support to enhance collective performance.
- Plan and allocate resources effectively, including drivers, vehicles, and equipment, to meet operational requirements.
- Maintain smooth communication with clients, drivers, and internal departments to ensure a harmonious workflow and prompt problem resolution.
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards, legal regulations, and company internal policies.
- Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Handle administrative tasks related to dispatch, such as documentation, reporting, and invoicing.
- Stay informed about regulatory changes and industry best practices to continuously improve dispatch processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience in dispatch management, logistics, or transport management, ideally in the Swiss market or similar environments.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Exceptional organisation and planning skills, with rigorous attention to detail.
- Good knowledge of Swiss transport regulations and safety standards.
- Proficiency in transport management software (TMS) and the Microsoft Office suite.
