The position is attached to the Diagnostic Department. Comprising nine medical services, its mission is to provide diagnostics, therapeutic products, therapeutic procedures, and specialised clinical consultations of high medical quality, within the shortest possible time and at an acceptable cost, to guide patient care and contribute to therapeutic decisions and actions.

The Medical Genetics Service is a clinical service, with consultations and laboratory, research, and teaching activities. In addition to genetic counselling for patients, either prior to or following constitutional genetic analyses, the Medical Genetics Service works closely with the Haematology Service (Oncology Department) to offer cytogenomic services within the framework of haematological neoplasms. The objective is to ensure diagnostic, prognostic, and therapeutic services for these pathologies.

The haematological cytogenetics laboratory is an accredited laboratory that performs analyses using conventional karyotyping methods, fluorescence in situ hybridisation (FISH), and molecular techniques via DNA microarray (SNP array) in the field of onco-haematological diseases, such as leukaemias, myelomas, and lymphomas.



Biomedical Analysis Technician at the Haematological Cytogenetics Laboratories - 80%


Within the haematological cytogenetics laboratory, you perform analyses according to established and developing techniques, respecting laboratory procedures.

You are able to adapt the analytical strategy according to the clinical indication.

You prepare samples upon receipt and ensure their pre-analytical handling, cell counting, culture setup, harvesting and monitoring, prioritisation based on clinical indication, cell separation, staining, and slide preparation for conventional and molecular cytogenetic analyses of haematological neoplasms.

You participate in the daily activities of the laboratory as well as in the development of new genetic diagnostic methods based on advanced molecular approaches. Versatile, you have at least one year of specific experience in haematological cytogenetics.

You engage in quality assurance activities and actively contribute to the accreditation process of the genetics service laboratories.

Qualifications

You hold a diploma as a biomedical analysis technician ES (TAB) or an equivalent qualification.

You have good experience in haematological and constitutional cytogenetics (sample handling, DNA extraction, cell culture, cell isolation, chromosomal preparation, karyotyping, FISH, QF PCR).

You are capable of working within a quality system based on ISO 15189 standards.

You are proficient with common software, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).

Your rigour, sense of responsibility, and autonomy allow you to perform your assigned tasks optimally and efficiently.

Your interpersonal skills and sense of collegiality enable you to work well in a team and integrate easily.
