Banking Surveillance Officer

Main tasks

  • Proactive, critical, and risk-oriented supervision of a portfolio of banks based on available information (audit reports, FINMA ratings, specific investigations)
  • Main internal and external contact for supervised institutions
  • Evaluation of risk analyses and approval of prudential audit strategies
  • Analysis of risk situations, identification of causes, and implementation of corrective measures
  • Management of relationships with boards of directors, management, and foreign supervisory authorities
  • Close collaboration with FINMA internal units and participation in on-site inspections

Required profile

  • Degree from a university of applied sciences in economics or equivalent training in the banking sector (certified accountant, CPA, ACCA)
  • At least five years of professional experience in the banking sector or auditing
  • Strong knowledge of banking law, financial markets, and products
  • Excellent analytical skills and methodical approach
  • Very good communication skills and a collaborative spirit
  • Fluency in French C2 and German B2
