The Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition Department provides diagnostic and non-surgical therapeutic care for patients suffering from diseases of the digestive tract, liver, biliary tract and pancreas, taking into account services provided by other HUG departments. It offers interventional endoscopic, percutaneous and transhepatic procedures for the aforementioned organs. It actively participates in the Hepato-Biliary and Pancreatic Diseases Centre: a reference centre in Switzerland. More than 1000 cases are discussed there annually. It manages patients with liver, biliary tract and pancreatic diseases. These often complex cases require the opinion of several specialists.
As a senior physician, you will work in a stimulating academic environment within a multidisciplinary team and will be involved in the clinical activities of the gastroenterology and hepatology department.
You will assist the head of department and assistant physicians in patient care, coordination of practical activities, clinical, therapeutic and endoscopic interventions for patients entrusted to you. You will participate in the specialty on-call system as second line.
Demonstrating a confirmed interest in teaching, you will take part in undergraduate, postgraduate and continuing education in gastroenterology and hepatology.
Dynamic, flexible and committed, you will develop interdisciplinary clinical projects. You will implement and ensure research within the unit.
