Assistant or Assistant in Community Care and Health at the Private Division - Onco-Haematology Unit - 80%

Within the scope of your activity, in a medical unit that accommodates both general medicine and onco-haematology, you support patients daily in their care journey.

The Private Division seeks to strengthen and develop the role of ASSC within its teams. Thanks to your strong ability to position yourself, you are capable of developing and reinforcing the role within the service.

Under delegation and responsibility of nursing staff, you assist patients in their daily living activities and provide care adapted to their needs and pace of life. You communicate appropriately with patients, know how to listen, and can reassure them when necessary. In a good spirit of collaboration, you report your interventions to the care team.

You perform medical-technical acts within your competencies autonomously, such as assessing vital signs, notably measuring blood pressure, preparing medication treatments, changing dressings, and administering injections and samples.

You actively participate in preventing complications related to hospitalisation in collaboration with other health professionals (pain, pressure sore prevention, fall and infection prevention, etc.), and you assist the patient in preparing for discharge.

You ensure the maintenance of equipment and furniture, follow up and document your patients’ electronic records, and carry out administrative and logistical activities within your unit related to your nursing profession.

Qualifications

Having obtained the Federal Certificate of Competence (CFC) as an assistant in community care and health, you hold a valid practice licence in the canton of Geneva.

You have demonstrated your technical skills in care practice and are recognised as a professional for your interpersonal ease both with patients and the care team.

You are a responsive, organised person with good stress and priority management; you know how to analyse clinical situations and adapt to the context as well as to unforeseen events inherent to the activity of a care unit.

Your ability to work collaboratively allows you to work hand in hand with a multiprofessional health care team. You ensure precise and rigorous information transmission within multidisciplinary teams.

You participate in the supervision and clinical teaching of new nursing staff and other health professionals.

You have 3 to 5 years of experience in the ASSC role.

You are a motivated, attentive, and dynamic person, ready to invest yourself in an institution whose relational values you share, namely trust, respect, team spirit, recognition, equality, and inclusion.
