Job description

The Computer Science Institute (II) and the Computer Science and Communication Systems programme (ISC) of the School of Engineering (HEI) are seeking a person who will ensure the operational coordination of the two entities in close collaboration with the institute and programme management.

The position encompasses various responsibilities, including handling and monitoring cross-cutting files: administration, finance, laboratories, human resources, project management support and internal organisation. The role requires proven ability to manage complex situations, structure processes and support management in decision-making and operational leadership.

Main responsibilities

  • Support and implementation of strategic initiatives.

  • Establishment and improvement of management processes and tools.

  • Support for responsible professors and the programme manager in monitoring programme processes (study trips, Bachelor projects, recruitment, etc.) and institutes (strategic projects and partnerships).

  • Operational management of laboratories, infrastructure and classrooms.

  • Support to HR administration for recruitment, contracts, apprentice follow-up, etc.

  • Management of unforeseen situations, resolution of operational problems, stabilisation of internal flows.

  • Direct participation in decision-making processes.

Profile sought

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business informatics, business management, business administration or equivalent field.

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role (administration, finance, project management, PMO, HR).

  • Proficiency in management tools, strong operational autonomy and structured analytical skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to translate strategic objectives into actions, managing several files in parallel while maintaining an overview.

  • Excellent organisational, writing and oral communication skills in French and English (C1 level).

  • Resilience, precision and ability to handle sensitive issues.

Additional information

Work rate 80%

Workplace Sion, possibility of remote work one day per week.

Start date ideally 1 August 2026

Duration 24 months, renewable. Possibility of conversion to a permanent contract in the long term.
