HYDRO Exploitation SA is a leading service provider primarily active in the operation and maintenance of electrical production facilities. Under one roof, we bring together all the specific skills related to our profession, from maintenance staff to engineering.

We operate a portfolio of facilities including more than 40 hydroelectric power plants with an installed capacity of about 22% of the Swiss hydroelectric fleet (25% including pumped storage). Together, these facilities produce nearly 16% of Swiss hydroelectric energy.

Thanks to our unique expertise, we offer high value-added services that meet the varied needs of our clients as well as the most demanding quality standards. Development & Sales Unit Manager (80-100%)

Your mission:

You are responsible for managing and developing the Development & Sales unit of HYDRO Exploitation.
In this role, you structure and develop a portfolio of products and services in the company’s technical fields, incorporating a product management approach.

You actively contribute to the medium-term growth ambition of the business by coordinating sales and administrative support activities.

Your responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop the unit composed of specialised salespeople and back-office staff
  • Define and execute the commercial strategy in collaboration with Management
  • Define, structure and evolve the portfolio of products and services in connection with HYDRO Exploitation’s expertise (mechanical, electrical, civil engineering and geodesy, automation, overhaul workshops)
  • Implement a product management approach and monitor economic performance (KPIs), and establish the company’s business plan
  • Conduct sector benchmarks and support departments in creating specific business plans
  • Contribute to the company’s strategic positioning in its key markets; develop sales activities and ensure the acquisition of new clients and markets
  • Supervise and support the sales team as well as administrative support functions
  • Oversee the offer processes, from opportunity identification to contracting and after-sales service

Your skills:

  • Higher education (ETH/University of Applied Sciences/university) in a technical field (mechanical, electrical, civil engineering) or equivalent, ideally complemented by management training
  • Proven experience (min. 5 years) in an industrial or technical service environment
  • Experience in commercial development and/or product management, with responsibility for results
  • Demonstrated leadership and experience in managing interdisciplinary teams
  • Strong customer orientation, entrepreneurial spirit and ability to structure a growing business
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Native French or German speaker with good knowledge of the other language; English is an asset
