In our Design division, within the Visual Arts & Design sector, we are looking for a Design Specialist (80%) starting from September 1 or at a mutually agreed date. What we offer:- A dynamic and stimulating work environment, with a significant cultural and political impact- Opportunities for responsibility- Workplace in downtown Zurich with the possibility of executing part of the tasks remotely- Very good social benefits, for childcare and family support- 26 vacation days (+ five additional days starting at age 50)- Half-price subscription or discount on the general subscription (CFF)- Neutral contact point and social engagement to remove barriers and ensure workplace accessibilityYour responsibilities:- Supporting the development of design promotion through various initiatives (e.g., within the framework of the cultural message) as well as in collaboration with other public entities; monitoring other design promotion models in Switzerland and abroad; implementing contributions to design, from the call for proposals to jury selection, to the management of institutional proposals in Switzerland and abroad: prospecting, networking, and implementing measures for coaching and skill development for actors in the design field; promoting and disseminating Swiss design on the international stage with institutional partners, as well as implementing internal measures in collaboration with other divisions in cross-divisional projects; miscellaneous tasks for the division, such as managing calls for proposals, processing inquiries, preparing reports, and budget monitoring.Your profile:For this versatile position, we are looking for a committed individual who meets at least some of the following requirements:- Tertiary education or equivalent professional experience- Several years of experience in industries related to design- Excellent knowledge of the Swiss design scene and its key players, as well as an existing network- Solid knowledge of the design industry and market requirements in Switzerland- Basic knowledge of cultural promotion in Switzerland and interest in its development in relation to new trends and developments- Project management experience and availability for flexible working hours and potential assignments abroad- A personality with a strong analytical mindset and excellent teamwork skills, with very good oral communication skills in a multilingual environment and writing proficiency: minimum C1 level in one official language and proficiency in two official languages; knowledge of German at a professional level is an advantage.We look forward to receiving your application until April 26, which should include your CV, a letter or video (approximately 90 seconds) in which you describe your interest and experiences.
