Job Description

On behalf of our client, a major player in the banking sector, we are seeking a Derivatives Operations & Technology Specialist for a 6-month full-time assignment. In this operational and cross-functional role, you will be involved in the entire lifecycle of listed derivatives products, while contributing to the management of reference data, supporting trading activities, and continuously improving processes. You will work closely with Front Office, IT, Compliance teams, as well as brokers and external providers to ensure robust, scalable, and efficient workflows.

Main Responsibilities

  • Ensure operational monitoring of listed derivatives products throughout the transaction lifecycle
  • Manage operations related to listed options: trade entry, premium management, exercises, assignments, and margin events
  • Support trading activities and ensure resolution of operational incidents
  • Administer and control reference data (financial instruments, counterparties, market data)
  • Collaborate with IT teams on system integrations, testing phases, process automation, and production support
  • Work closely with Front Office, Compliance teams, brokers, and external partners
  • Identify operational risks and propose improvements to existing processes
  • Contribute to the implementation of solutions and workflows adapted to a developing environment

We are looking for a profile meeting the following criteria:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in Trading Operations, Middle Office, or Trade Support
  • Strong experience with listed options and their operational lifecycle
  • Knowledge of OTC derivatives products (FX forwards, swaps, options) is an asset
  • Proven experience collaborating with business and technology teams
  • Mastery of operations on listed derivatives, reference data management, and associated controls
  • Good knowledge of banking and trading platforms such as Temenos and Bloomberg
  • Experience with system integrations, testing, automation, and production support
  • Excellent Excel skills; knowledge of Power BI and/or Tableau is an advantage
  • Analytical mindset, solution-oriented, and detail-focused
  • Ability to build and optimise processes in an evolving environment
  • Proactive approach in identifying risks and improvement opportunities
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with diverse stakeholders
  • Fluent in French and English; Spanish is an asset
