Deputy Operational Chief - Officer

Your role

You support the Operational Chief in managing the entity’s personnel and are fully able to deputise for them in their responsibilities. Together, you are responsible for all operational units of the Police Force. You also actively contribute to the development of prevention and community engagement actions within the operational entity of the Nyon Region Police Association.

Your main responsibilities

  • Ensure, alongside the Operational Chief, the management and development of the entity’s personnel;
  • Steer and monitor the objectives of the operational entity;
  • Propose prevention and community engagement actions;
  • Organise and supervise major events and gatherings;
  • Draft operational orders and directives; Represent the force at internal and external meetings;
  • Lead projects, both internally and in partnership with external entities;
  • Assume full responsibilities of the Operational Chief in their absence.

Your profile

You are a hands-on personality, recognised for your natural leadership and ability to unite a team in a demanding operational environment. Accustomed to making quick and thoughtful decisions, including in sensitive situations, you demonstrate discernment and autonomy. Your interpersonal skills enable you to represent the force credibly with internal and external partners.

You notably have:

  • Federal police officer certificate;
  • Driving course III (CAS CEP ISP) or willingness to undertake the training;
  • More than 10 years of professional experience in personnel management, with a comparable level of responsibility (an asset);
  • Good command of PackOffice and "Police" software;
  • Fluency in French, level C2

Salary category: Category E, 100%: CHF 96,720.- to 148,693.-
