Chief Accountant - Deputy Head of FinanceThe City of Monthey is announcing the following position, open equally to women and men:JOB TITLEYour missionsSupervise and support the team in carrying out tasks related to municipal accounting, ancillary accounts, litigation, and service management.Establish the necessary tools to ensure the quality and reliability of the service (financials, treasury, cash control, and management of the securities portfolio).Prepare municipal accounts and budgets in compliance with legal requirements.Perform VAT calculations, real estate capital gains tax, and municipal tax matters.Assist the Head of Finance in executing the department's tasks.Your profileHolder of a Federal Certificate as a Specialist in Finance and Accounting or considered equivalent.Excellent skills in accounting, taxation, and financial analysis.Excellent writing skills.Analytical and synthesis abilities.Open, positive, dynamic, and committed personality.Experience in public finance is an asset, along with the following social skills and aptitudes: listening and dialogue skills, interpersonal skills, rigor and methodical mindset, ability to manage priorities, demonstrating great discretion.Conditions of employmentIn accordance with personnel regulations and the municipal salary scale.Start dateJuly 1st or to be agreed upon.The terms of reference can be consulted with Mr. X, Head of Finance, who is available for any additional information.
