On behalf of one of our clients, a recognised player in its sector and based in the canton of Vaud, we are looking for a Database Administrator to strengthen its IT team as part of a replacement and business continuity.

Responsibilities
Reporting to the Applications Manager, you will play a key role in managing, optimising and securing the company’s database platforms.
You will be responsible for the availability, integrity and performance of the data, while contributing to the evolution projects of the information system.
- Administer and maintain production databases.
- Ensure monitoring, preventive and corrective maintenance of environments.
- Implement and supervise backup, restoration and disaster recovery procedures.
- Analyse and optimise database performance.
- Ensure data security and compliance with best administration practices.
- Participate in integration projects and deployment of new applications.
- Work closely with Infrastructure, Applications and Security teams.
- Document procedures and contribute to continuous improvement of technical standards.
- Keep up to date with technological developments related to databases and data management.
Candidate Profile
Education and Experience
- Higher education in computer science (HES, EPF level or equivalent).
- Minimum 6 years of professional experience in database administration.
- Proven experience in critical environments requiring a high level of availability.
Technical Skills
Excellent command of relational databases:
- Oracle
- Microsoft SQL Server
- PostgreSQL
- MariaDB
Good knowledge of NoSQL technologies:
- MongoDB
- Redis
- Elasticsearch / Elastic
Strong skills in environments:
- Microsoft Windows Server
- Linux
- Unix
Familiarity with collaborative tools and agile methodologies:
- Azure DevOps
- Jira
- Confluence
