In this framework, we are looking for a database specialist capable of operating in a critical, hybrid, and technology-rich environment, at the intersection of production, infrastructure, and application support.
Job DescriptionAs a Database & Operations Administrator, you play a key role in the availability, performance, and security of data platforms.
In this capacity, you will be responsible for:
- The operation and administration of databases in a production environment
- Monitoring, maintenance, backups, and restorations
- Performance optimisation and incident management
- Support for application and infrastructure teams
- The deployment of new applications
- Participation in the technical evolution of the data ecosystem
You will work in a rich and varied environment including:
- Relational databases: Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MariaDB
- NoSQL / data services technologies: MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch
- Systems: Windows Server, Linux, Unix
- Collaborative and delivery tools: Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence
- Agile methodology in a structured environment
- Higher education in computer science (EPF / HES or equivalent)
- Minimum 6 years of experience in database administration or data infrastructure
- Strong experience in a production environment
- Good command of Microsoft and Linux/Unix systems
- Comfortable in hybrid environments (DB + systems)
- Rigour, autonomy, and a service-oriented mindset
- Good communication and team spirit
- Fluent French, good level of technical English
Important Information
- Position based in Lausanne, residence in Switzerland required
- Remote work possible up to 1 day per week after the probation period
