The Juvenile Court investigates offenses committed by minors and pronounces sentences. It is also in charge of the execution of sentences by minors. To complete its team, the Juvenile Court, which employs nearly 50 people, is looking for a Clerk.Responsibilities- Assist the Presidents of the Court during hearings.- Analyze files, carry out all useful research, particularly legal, to prepare for the hearing and the court's activity.- Update hearing minutes and establish drafts of judicial decisions by drafting the facts and ensuring that all legal arguments are addressed (based on notes or instructions).- Carry out corrections made by the President in charge of the file and ensure the quality of the original decision as well as its finalization.- Participate in file management (mail, deadline tracking, telephone calls, etc.) and conduct legal research.- Inform parties and their counsel, judicial authorities, and any other interlocutor who can justify a legitimate interest, about the various procedures.- You will find more details in the job description by clicking here.Profile- Master of Law or equivalent university degree.- Several years of professional experience desired.- Sense of public service and responsibility.- Taste for drafting judicial decisions and taking minutes.- Excellent spelling, mastery of typing.- Rigor, precision, and discretion.- Very good resistance to stress.- This position requires availability related to an on-call service on certain weekends.- As part of the recruitment process, candidates will be required to present an extract from the debt collection register as well as a criminal record less than 3 months old.WHO ARE WE?Alongside the legislative and executive powers, the Vaud Judicial Order (OJV) ensures the role of the third power.In a constantly evolving context with numerous jurisdictional and institutional challenges, we have the duty to control the proper application of laws within the Canton.
