IMAD is a pioneering and leading institution in home care in the canton of Geneva. It provides care, support, prevention, and health promotion services 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, to more than 18,000 patients of all ages, 25% of whom are under 65 years old.
With its 2,300 expert and committed staff, including over 50 teams deployed throughout the canton, IMAD's mission is to meet the population's needs and their wish to remain at home independently while preserving their quality of life during periods of temporary or prolonged fragility. Community Health and Care Assistant (ASSC) / 80-100% / Permanent Contract
Attached to a home care team, the ASSC provides services autonomously, respecting the client’s lifestyle, beliefs, values, and culture. They work interdisciplinarily and interprofessionally, respecting the institution’s mission and objectives.
Your missions and responsibilities
- Provide basic care and medical-technical acts delegated by the referring nurse, with a holistic approach to the client
- Promote the restoration of the client’s health, strengthening or maintaining their autonomy to enable them to restore, continue, or adapt their lifestyle so they can remain or return home
- Assess and reassess practical aid situations and take responsibility for them
- Perform practical aid services respecting the client’s lifestyle and environment
- Encourage maintaining connections with the client’s circle and collaborate with them by identifying resources and providing information and support.
Qualifications
- Federal Certificate of Capacity as ASSC and authorisation to practice in the canton of Geneva
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, attentive listening
- Ability to assess situations and act responsibly
- Resistance to stress and physical work
- Aptitude for autonomous work and interprofessional collaboration within a multidisciplinary team
- Essential mobility (by bike / on foot / by car / by TPG).
