Communications Officer (100%)
A dynamic central town undergoing rapid development, the Municipality of Payerne is seeking a Communications Officer with solid experience in institutional communication, media relations, and digital communication.
Main responsibilities: Develop and implement the Municipality’s institutional and digital communication strategy. Advise the Municipality and departments on internal and external communication issues. Manage media relations and support the Municipality and Municipal Administration in their public communication. Manage institutional communication materials (website, publications, social media, press releases, etc.) and contribute to promoting the Municipality’s actions and projects.
Your profile: Higher education in communication or an equivalent qualification. Proven experience in the field (minimum 5 years). Excellent writing and interpersonal skills. Interest in public communication, organisational skills, and autonomy. Very good command of digital tools and social media. Knowledge of the regional and Swiss media landscape. Proficiency in Adobe suite, Canva, and web content management tools.
Start date: 1 October 2026 or by agreement.
