To learn more about our institution, take a few minutes to consult our retrospective.Within the Medical and Quality Directorate of the HUG, the Infection Prevention and Control Service is responsible for implementing: (1) surveillance and prevention of healthcare-associated infections; (2) detection and control of epidemic nosocomial infections; (3) control of multi-resistant microorganism resistance; (4) teaching and training of medical and nursing staff in the field.Clinical Nurse Specialists in Infection Prevention and Control - 80% to 100%As a clinical nurse specialist, you act as an expert and reference person in infection prevention and control. You actively contribute to the continuous improvement of patient safety and the quality of care. You exercise recognized clinical expertise in infection prevention and control and participate in epidemiological surveillance as well as the implementation and monitoring of quality.You lead and coordinate audits of practices, develop, update, and disseminate procedures and protocols, evaluate practices, propose improvements, and actively participate in the quality process.You develop, implement, and evaluate institutional projects aimed at reducing infection risks, integrate evidence-based data into clinical practice in close collaboration with professionals from different departments, train, supervise, and support teams in the development of their skills, support professionals in the management of outbreaks, and collaborate closely with all healthcare professionals.You promote a culture of safety, learning, and quality.You are a committed person, demonstrating a marked interest in infection prevention and control, motivated by the quality of care, and possessing solid professional experience.You hold a Bachelor of Science HES-SO in nursing or an equivalent recognized degree. You possess a certification in infection prevention, such as EPIAS or an equivalent. A Master in Nursing Sciences, a MAS in Public Health, or an equivalent degree is an asset, or you have the capacity to commit to one of these courses.You justify a minimum of years of professional experience, ideally supplemented by experience in acute care. You possess theoretical and/or practical knowledge in microbiology and medical devices. You master quality approaches as well as risk analysis tools. You have developed confirmed skills in project management, leading working groups, and managing quality programs.
