As part of the new services of the Head of Technical Services / Municipal Engineer in Boudry, we are in the context of a new position, to recruit a key personality for the role of Head of Technical Services / Municipal Engineer. The town and municipality of Boudry is located in the canton of Neuchâtel on the waterfront, crossed by the essential Areuse, amidst vineyards, forests, and a lake. Its ideal setting offers a varied landscape and a harmonious living environment. With nearly inhabitants, Boudry is today an active municipality that blends ancient traditions, viticulture, as well as a dynamic industry spread across different hubs of the municipality. Its staff consists of just under 100 people serving the technical services / Municipal Engineer. MISSIONUnder the direct responsibility of the Municipal Council, lead a service encompassing land use planning, public works, roads, buildings, supply management, energy, mobility, industrial networks, and hazards, and contribute to the development of the Municipality of Boudry by ensuring a global vision, efficient infrastructures adapted to users' needs, and delivering quality services. In detail:- Lead significant projects in collaboration with various stakeholders and internal and external partners.- Provide support to the Municipal Council in areas related to land use planning, mobility, public works, buildings, energy, industrial networks, hazards, and other related matters.- With the help of the various responsible individuals subordinate to you, manage the different technical sectors of the municipality, ensuring the good performance of activities and challenges, the management of financial and human resources, while supporting a respectful and high-quality work environment and sustainable working conditions within the legal framework.- Ensure liaison with your counterpart for regulatory aspects.- Represent the Municipality of Boudry to the Canton, other municipalities, public and private partners, as well as citizens, and represent the technical services to commissions and the general council.PROFILEYou have a degree in civil engineering, engineering, architecture (Master HES or EPF) or equivalent. You are aware of the challenges related to managing municipal and public services and can bridge the gap between political challenges and field needs. You possess experience in managing infrastructure and construction projects, particularly with confirmed experience in public procurement. You demonstrate diligence in tracking projects. You have in-depth knowledge of and best practices in the fields of land use planning, public works, infrastructures, buildings, industrial networks, and energy. You have successfully led teams and are comfortable in support, coordination, and arbitration roles.
