To learn more, follow this link.MissionsAs Cantonal Chemist, you contribute with the Head of Service to the definition and implementation of public policies related to food safety.Due to your role, you are responsible for the management, execution, and supervision of tasks defined by legislation in the field of food and consumer goods, chemical products, as well as the hygiene of swimming pools and public beaches.You coordinate and supervise the control activities of food and consumer goods and participate in the hiring of specialists in the field of food safety.You guide and advise the Head of Service, the Management, as well as the State Councilor in your area of expertise.Desired profileHolder of a university, EPF, or HES master's degree in chemistry, biochemistry, food sciences, or life sciences, you ideally benefit from a diploma in the management of official food control (DDCAI) within the meaning of the current federal ordinance.Results-oriented, you are proactive and take the initiatives and decision proposals required to successfully carry out your mission.Endowed with good communication skills, you know how to work in a team and collaborate actively with your colleagues and interlocutors.Resistant to stress, you are confronted with a significant workload as well as irregular hours.Knowledge of the Fribourg agri-food sector is a plus.You master the French or German language and have excellent knowledge of the other language. jid2db3e36aen jit0832aen jpiy26aen
