It is composed of approximately 80 staff active in HVAC-R techniques, Building Maintenance, as well as concierge and The newly created Building Management Systems (BMS) unit brings together the HVAC-R and Supervision-Security groups. It is currently composed of 8 staff covering the areas of:- HVAC-R (Building automation)- Supervision of technical and security systems- Hypervision- Alarm transmission- Access control- Fire- Intrusion- CCTVMain tasks and responsibilitiesYour tasks and responsibilities as Head of Building Management Systems (BMS) unit will be to:- Lead the Building Management Systems (BMS) unit by defining priorities, planning activities, and ensuring the service's objectives are met, in compliance with EPFL's values and culture.- Ensure the management of human resources, workload, budget, and unit resources to guarantee efficient and- Define the development strategy for systems and services in the field, anticipating the needs of EPFL's technical infrastructure.- Ensure the smooth running of the unit's projects to guarantee compliance with cost and deadline objectives.- Coordinate the maintenance and development of associated software and infrastructure.- Collaborate closely with the various EPFL departments linked to the different areas of activity.- Conduct technical and interdisciplinary meetings, validate orders in accordance with current procedures.- Participate in technological and regulatory monitoring in the relevant fields to ensure the development of solutions according to best practices and current requirements.- Supervise, support, and develop the skills of the unit's staff, notably through conducting performance reviews, identifying training needs, and supporting their professional development.- Provide on-call service ifProfile- HES engineer or ES technician degree in electricity, or equivalent- Confirmed experience in the development or operation of technical supervision or security systems (SCADA) such as PC Vue, Panorama, Control Maestro for example- Good knowledge of Building Management Systems, Smart Building, mastery of the elements constituting these systems, architectures, and field protocols (BACnet, Modbus, among others)- Good knowledge of IT security infrastructure, knowledge of security fields such as fire/intrusion, access control, CCTV- Confirmed competence in planning (roadmap, life cycle, resources, ...), analyzing, and writing- Capable of developing technical specifications- Confirmed aptitude in managing technical teams- Rigorous, autonomous, with a good sense of service, capable of collaborating effectively in a transversal manner with multidisciplinary teams- Open-minded, attentive, and proactive, you will know how to advance projects with relevance and- Good command of French, English level B2We offer- A high-quality working environment- A friendly, stimulating, and dynamic working atmosphere- The opportunity for our staff to be involved in demanding and varied projects- The possibility to improve skills according to the requirements of the position- The possibility to implement the latest techniques on our sites with the objective of reducing our- Start date:- Min rate: 80.00- Max rate: 100.00- Type of contract: Permanent contract jid1e6f28eaen jit0832aen jpiy26aen
