The Early Childhood Service (SDPE) is responsible for implementing the City of Geneva's early childhood policy. It manages municipal childcare facilities and supports those it subsidizes. As part of the opening of the new early childhood care facility Victoire Tinayre at the start of the school year, we are looking for an Assistant Director of an early childhood care facility at 60%.Your mission and responsibilities: - Oversee, under the supervision of the director, a SAPE (early childhood care facility) composed of staff to deliver a service in accordance with the institutional and pedagogical project in force.- Contribute to the development of the institutional and pedagogical project and ensure its implementation.- Organize and develop the necessary skills for the operation. - Represent the entity to the beneficiaries and partners, and promote collaborative work.- Hold a diploma in early childhood from ESEDE or a SEFRI-related qualification.- Have five years of experience in early childhood (SASAJ requirement).- Have good workplace interpersonal skills, as well as decision-making and organizational ability.- Demonstrate a sense of autonomy and good mastery of the necessary tasks.- Be a motivated person, committed to their mission, and have a strong sense of responsibility.- Possess good knowledge, particularly being familiar with Office Suite tools.Conditions and application process:Application deadline: Start date: Position classification: Class J of the salary scale.The application folder must include the following elements:- A cover letter.- Curriculum Vitae or, if not available, a completed job application form (to be downloaded from our website).- Copies of diplomas and work references.- A recent passport-sized photo.Following the City of Geneva’s recruitment process, the process is decentralized.
