Beschreibung
Burckhardt Geneva is looking for an architecture intern to join the team working on the Centre for Physical and Mathematical Sciences at the University of Geneva – CSPM.
Winner of an SIA 142 architecture competition, this project brings together leading architectural, urban, scientific and environmental challenges. The future centre will be located on the banks of the Arve and aims to strengthen the links between science, education, the city and society.
The project completes the science campus and connects several universes: a tower dedicated to research, a volume devoted to teaching, as well as a shared base, designed as a space for meeting, circulation and interaction between the campus and the city.
Architecture Intern (m/f/x)
What awaits you:
Depending on the progress of the project and your skills, you will participate in the production of plans, sections, elevations and project documents, the development of architectural and constructive elements as well as the preparation of graphic documents, diagrams, visualisations and presentations.
You will also contribute to the research of references, materials and architectural solutions, the updating of digital models and working documents as well as internal coordination with project team members. You will also have the opportunity to participate in reflections on sustainability, façades, public spaces and the various uses of the building.
What you will find with us:
- The opportunity to contribute to a major public project in Geneva, at the intersection of architecture, scientific research and university education.
- An immersion in a complex project integrating urban planning, landscape, sustainability, building technology and architectural quality.
- A concrete experience of working within an interdisciplinary project team.
- Formative tasks directly related to the architectural development of the project.
- Support from experienced architects.
- Current working methods, particularly in the fields of modelling, graphic representation and digital tools.
- A committed, open and motivated team within our Geneva office.
What we expect:
- You have completed at least four semesters of architectural studies at a university, ETH or a university of applied sciences.
- You want to understand how an ambitious architectural project develops in a real context.
- You have a strong interest in public projects, scientific facilities, sustainability and construction quality.
- You are comfortable with Revit or at least AutoCAD.
- You know how to produce clear graphic documents, such as plans, diagrams, images, models or visualisations.
- You work with rigour, curiosity and initiative.
- You enjoy learning, asking questions and actively contributing to team work.
- You are proficient in French, both spoken and written.
- A structured and precise approach, combined with curiosity, eagerness to learn and the ability to work in a team, completes your profile.
If you would like to know more, I am at your disposal. Please send us your complete application file on our website (not by email please!) including:
- a few lines explaining what interests you about the CSPM project;
- your CV;
- a selection of work or a portfolio;
- your availability.
