Every day, our teams work with openness and responsibility to address essential social challenges. Joining EVAM means putting your skills at the service of a human and public utility mission, in a stimulating, diverse, and constantly evolving professional environment.
We are recruiting our new Administrative Director (80% to 100%) on a permanent contract.
Location: Lausanne
Start date: To be agreed
What you bring to our mission
By leading the finance, human resources, information systems, and legal functions, you create the conditions that allow the establishment to achieve its objectives and drive its transformations. Your actions help secure decisions, optimise resource use, and strengthen EVAM's capacity to sustainably fulfil its public service missions.
As a member of the Executive Board, you participate in the strategic choices shaping the establishment's future.
A word from your future manager, Erich Dürst:
At the head of the cross-functional services that enable EVAM to accomplish its mission, the Deputy Director significantly contributes to the management of the establishment, the definition of its strategic directions, and their implementation. The role requires a global vision and an approach focused on internal and external cooperation, promoting coherence of approaches and team cohesion. I am looking for someone who can take a broad perspective while remaining grounded in concrete realities, who can find balances between methodological rigour and situational judgement, who can turn constraints into opportunities, and for whom change is a driving force that mobilises.
Your mission:
You are responsible for managing EVAM's support services (finance, human resources, information systems, and legal), notably by defining their objectives, ensuring their monitoring and achievement, while overseeing the coordination of cross-cutting projects, especially those aimed at the establishment's development.
You provide support to the EVAM Director in their daily activities and undertake the missions, tasks, and representations delegated to you. You are called upon to deputise during their absences.
Your main responsibilities:
You supervise and support the managers of the teams reporting to you and make necessary decisions.
You define the objectives and priority projects of these teams, which you monitor notably through the implementation of key indicators.
You ensure the monitoring of allocated budgets.
You are one of the main actors in the management of the establishment, within the executive board.
You review internal practices to evolve them, in a continuous improvement approach.
You participate in various delegations of the executive board, and may even lead them.
You advise and support the director in managing projects or strategic situations.
You accompany or represent the director with state authorities and external partner bodies, upon request.
Alternating with the second deputy director, you deputise for the director during their absences.
Your profile:
University master’s degree relevant to the position, preferably in law, economics, or public administration.
