Fixed-term contract - AccountantWithin the Finance, Sustainability, Law & Risk Department, the Accounts Unit, within the Accounts and Financing Activity, has the particular mission of guaranteeing compliance with accounting or financial rules, standards, and laws. It contributes to the creation of value for the company by closing the accounts each month and producing consolidated financial statements according to energy standards in the service of a Geneva. Reporting to the Closing and Subsidiaries Manager, the position combines autonomous management of subsidiaries and a corporate accountant role within a defined scope, requiring strong analytical capacity and excellent mastery of SAP. In this context, your role will consist of:- Fully and autonomously managing subsidiaries, particularly invoicing and receipts/payments of client/supplier invoices;- Maintaining the general ledger;- Managing VAT and other tax obligations and annual tax returns;- Managing closing processes and producing monthly, quarterly, and annual budget reports;- Planning, coordinating, and ensuring the follow-up of subsidiary audits in collaboration with external auditors (Code of Obligations).Responsible for an accounting section within the scope, namely:- Calculation and entry of monthly closing entries to ensure the existence, completeness, and accuracy of accounting figures in connection with their accounting section(s) (inventory and personnel expenses), in compliance with internal/external rules;- Analysis and monitoring, throughout the period, of amounts and flows generated by tools in order to request necessary corrections to then be able to book necessary adjustments if applicable to ensure the existence, completeness, and accuracy of accounting figures;- Supporting business lines to obtain necessary information for a good understanding of the process and business data, which must be reflected in the accounting sections;- Post-closing analyses to ensure the reliability of booked figures in connection with their accounting section(s) and reconciliation of balance sheet and income statement items with sub-modules.Participate in the consolidation of accounts and the drafting of notes to the consolidated financial statements:- Intervene in the group's financial consolidation process, notably through the entry of consolidation entries and drafting notes to the consolidated financial statements in accordance with standards.Your personality and skills- You maintain good relationships with your partners and cultivate your network in a spirit of cooperation.- You are comfortable with oral and written expression.- Autonomous, you are a source of proposals and know how to analyze processes in order to optimize them by proposing improvement paths.- Curious and open-minded, you know how to demonstrate agility and are capable of quickly providing concrete solutions in moving and demanding contexts.- You have excellent accounting knowledge and are comfortable with MS-Office tools (Excel and PowerPoint) and you master SAP and modules related to the accounting section(s) (ideally SAP-AA and SAP-CO).Your background:- Diploma in accounting (specialist certificate in finance and accounting or equivalent);- Minimum 8 years of experience in accounting;- Mastery of standards (IFRS, CO) and accounting processes;- Minimum 3 years of experience in a fiduciary firm required.Joining us means participating in change!We are a local public company serving the development of Geneva businesses and public authorities.
