A scientific collaborator – water quality and micropollutant strategy (80% – fixed-term for 2 years)

Your tasks

• You develop and implement the cantonal strategy regarding micropollutants in water
• You coordinate the monitoring of micropollutants in water and ensure the analysis of monitoring results
• You plan and conduct targeted measurement campaigns
• You monitor industrial activities likely to emit micropollutants
• You carry out expertise on substances of concern or emerging substances
• You coordinate analyses with specialised laboratories and ecotoxicology centres
• You propose and follow up on measures aimed at reducing micropollutant emissions at the source
• You participate in scientific work of various strategic groups at cantonal and national levels as well as on-call service

Your profile

• ETH / university Master’s degree in environmental sciences, chemistry or equivalent training
• Extensive experience in water protection, environmental chemistry or water quality monitoring
• Good writing and synthesis skills
• Organisational skills and sense of responsibility
• Effective and structured working method
• Flexibility and ease of communication
• Rigor and pragmatism
• Stress resistance
• Team spirit
• Native French or German speaker, with very good knowledge of the second official language
