In order to complete the staff, the Municipality of Château-d'Oex is announcing a position for a wastewater treatment plant operator (100%). 1. General Description of the RoleAssume responsibility for the maintenance, cleaning, and operation of the wastewater treatment plants in Château-d'Oex, La Lécherette, and L'Etivaz, as well as all wastewater pumping stations located in the Municipality of Château-d'Oex, in accordance with the directives. Manage maintenance work with companies and coordinate the relationship between cantonal and municipal authorities regarding the chemical analysis of treated water through the systems and the community staff under their responsibility. Monitor and maintain the equipment of local waste disposal sites (L'Etivaz and La Lécherette). Accept to work with irregular hours and take on services related to wastewater treatment plants (STEP) and infrastructure linked to the network, with responsibility for effectiveness, management, and personnel under their responsibility. Be the liaison with the hierarchical superior, companies, and municipal personnel. Control delivery notes and ensure the proper functioning and maintenance of the STEP following given directives. Oversee the proper functioning and maintenance of pumping systems, manage maintenance of collectors and connections (testing for commissioning and sludge treatment in the Pays-d'Enhaut according to requirements), and seek solutions that enhance the technical and economic performance of the STEP. Maintain current techniques, research, and explore possibilities for STEP and pumping systems, effectively manage costs and the budget for the STEP, and handle and manage dredging work, with all interventions directly related to water treatment (pre-treatment, dairies, wood washing, local waste disposal sites). Responsibility for the monitoring and maintenance of local waste disposal equipment in L'Etivaz and La Lécherette. Perform mechanical maintenance on municipal vehicles. Responsibility for the routine maintenance of various municipal vehicles as needed and as the situation allows regarding the STEP. Fire safety: responsibility working with the SDISPE in case of pollution in wastewater and clean water networks. Construction site water and pollution in streams: responsibility coordinating with municipal employees in charge of construction policing when needed for monitoring construction site water. Responsibility liaising with the canton (DGE-EAU, wildlife police) in case of pollution of streams related to municipal collector networks of wastewater and clean water. Safety: responsibility for work safety and the monitoring of potential apprentices within the Municipality.
