The Urban Management – Sustainability Service manages and develops the city’s green heritage sustainably, adapted to climate change and in the public interest.
To strengthen the team responsible for the maintenance of green spaces, we are looking for a:
100% Landscape Gardener
Your mission:
In collaboration with other team members, you will participate in the development and maintenance of municipal green spaces (planting, mowing, pruning, weeding, cleaning, measures to combat invasive neophytes), as well as sports grounds.
You will contribute to the maintenance of the municipal tree heritage (climbing and pruning work at height).
You will be involved in training apprentices for the Federal VET Diploma in horticulture-landscaping.
Finally, you will be part of the on-call services for maintenance, cleaning and snow clearance of public areas.
Required qualifications:
Federal VET Diploma as landscape gardener
Several years of professional experience in garden maintenance and creation
Professional experience:
Excellent knowledge of plants
Experience in maintaining sports grounds
Skills in tree climbing and pruning. Training in tree access techniques (e.g. Altimum level 1) is an advantage
Category B driving licence for vehicles with manual transmission required
Forklift, cherry picker, machine operator licences and BE (trailer) licence are advantages
Interest in sustainable maintenance practices and biodiversity development
Personal qualities:
Autonomous, rigorous and conscientious, you carry out your tasks carefully while respecting safety rules.
Versatile and with a good team spirit, you enjoy working outdoors and can adapt to various maintenance activities.
Aware of sustainable practices, you have a strong interest in biodiversity preservation and responsible management of green spaces.
Residents of Western Lausanne will be given preference.
