Senior Emergency PhysicianL Hôpital de La Tour is one of the leading private healthcare institutions in French-speaking Switzerland, recognized for the excellence of its care and its demanding yet human work environment. As part of its development, the Medical Emergency Department is recruiting two senior emergency physicians to join a structured, caring team committed to the quality of care.Recognized by the Swiss Society of Emergency and Rescue Medicine (SSMUS) and a member of the Geneva Emergency Network (RUG), our department ensures comprehensive care, 24/7 and 365 days a year:- More than annual visits, with varied medical activity.- An emergency unit and a pathway for recumbent patients (vital emergencies and semi-emergencies).- A short-stay unit (UOCD), equivalent to the French UHCD, a post-emergency unit for close monitoring of patients.- Direct access to hospital specialists, without delay and in a spirit of collaboration.What you will doAs a senior physician, you will practice with real clinical autonomy, while actively contributing to the life of the department:- Management of adults in all the diversity of medical and surgical emergencies, from vital emergencies to unscheduled care.- Clinical supervision of assistant and intern physicians: mentoring, validation of decisions, and daily transmission of knowledge.- Continuous improvement of protocols and care pathways.- Transversal collaboration with nursing teams and hospital specialists.The profile we are looking forWe are recruiting both an experienced emergency physician wishing to leave the public hospital for a more serene setting, and an ambitious young specialist ready to build their career in an environment of excellence. What matters to us:- Degree obtained in an EU member country, eligible for recognition.- Specialized in emergency medicine: DES, DESC, European Board of Emergency Medicine, Swiss SSMUS, or European equivalent.- Experience in a high-volume emergency department: minimum 5 years in an emergency unit or equivalent position as a senior physician.- Mastery of fluent French is essential; language of work and daily communication.- Ability to manage emergencies with autonomy, discernment, and team spirit.- Sincere interest in clinical supervision and the training of physicians.What we offer and working conditions- Salaried position at 100%, within a legal framework.- Weekly hours, with mixed schedules (8-hour and 12-hour shifts) distributed equitably between days, nights, and weekends.- Night shifts compliant with the Labor Act (LTr) and Swiss standards.- Parking provided for night shifts, weekends, and public holidays.- Direct public transport access (bus stop nearby).- Salary conditions consistent with Swiss standards for senior emergency physicians.
