The Finance Department (DF) is tasked with implementing the financial policy of the University Hospitals of Geneva. In addition to aspects related to the quality of care, major efficiency challenges are present within the hospital. Reducing length of stays, delays, and the appropriate allocation of resources are three essential performance axes to understand and optimize. As the responsible person for the medico-economic process, your mission is to train, coordinate, and optimize the entire medico-economic process in the service of management control & medico-economic expertise. You contribute to clarify decisions by making economic issues, pricing, and activities readable. You convey your medico-economic expertise (tariff structures, hospital lists, impacts on internal and external services and departments) and assist the team in producing medico-economic analyses and benchmarks to identify, explain, and correlate efficiency pathways. You produce profitability analyses (dashboards) based on analytical accounting for departments and services across the three care zones, ensuring the continuous evolution of these tools in a permanent logic (quality, relevance). You promote dashboards, medico-economic analyses, and benchmarks to department management. You collaborate closely with budget and reporting process managers to ensure the consistency and reliability of medico-economic elements in budget cycles. You ensure the responsibility for medico-economic control, particularly through costs per case within analytical accounting, ensuring quality of cost data. You define functional requirements for teams for the production of data transmitted to the OFS and SwissDRG, the production of ITAR_K, guaranteeing data consistency, quality, and compliance. As a recognized medico-economic expert, you train new HUG staff whose functions require knowledge in Swiss and medico-economic issues, taking on all tasks inherent to a management controller position within your scope. You hold a Master's degree from HEC or a comparable qualification and have at least 5 years of experience in the medical sector as a controller. You have excellent command of standard office tools as well as BI, QlikView, Business Objects, and IBM X. You have proven analytical capacity, rigor, and a sense of detail. You demonstrate autonomy, reliability, and know how to manage priorities. You exhibit team spirit and have excellent writing and oral communication skills in French, with a second language being a plus. Start date: as soon as possible. Number of positions: 1.
