The Digital and Engineering Systems department – Digital and Systems (TDSI) is conducting several initiatives aimed at improving the performance and efficiency of the company. In this context, we are looking for an Engineer – (m/f/x) – 80% to strengthen our team: As an Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and evolving the internal synthetic data solution used in testing environments. You will play a key role in reducing production data, collaborating with test teams, technical teams, and program stakeholders. Responsibilities: • Maintain and evolve the Python codebase for synthetic data generation and injection. • Develop modules for various systems: internal APIs, data bus, legacy systems. • Design, enhance, and adjust synthetic data according to project requirements. • Ensure the stability and performance of the data pipeline. • Contribute to the maintenance of data quality and continuous improvement. • Collaborate with project teams to adapt data to their APIs and technical constraints. • Challenge the existing architecture and propose improvements. • Provide technical backup on cross-cutting topics related to synthetic data. Profile: • Engineering degree (EPF, HES) or equivalent. • Experience: Junior to Mid-level profile, with experience in Python development in a similar context. Minimum 2 years of experience as a Software Engineer or in a similar role. • Autonomy and ability to organize your work reliably. • Clear communication skills and ability to interact with multiple teams. • Mastery of English (minimum B2) both spoken and written. • Physical presence in Lausanne (minimum 2 days a week). Essential Skills: • Minimum 2 years of experience in an Agile environment. • Proficiency in Python and solid understanding of software architecture. • Experience with REST/SOAP APIs and external systems. Additional Skills: • Knowledge of a message bus (Kafka or equivalent). • Proficiency in Git tools and workflows (branches, PR, reviews). • Experience in synthetic data or knowledge of GDPR, risk awareness, experience as a QA/Tester or in a similar role. • Mastery of French (minimum B2) both spoken and written.
