Field Access Officer - Land Access & PermittingSGE is preparing an ambitious 3D seismic acquisition campaign in the Broye region (cantons of Vaud and Fribourg), a key step in the development of future geothermal resources. The start is scheduled for Q4. In this context, SGE is actively looking for several Field Access Officers to support the study project, which will cover approximately 500 km² in varied and complex environments, including urban and industrial areas, agricultural lands, forests, rivers, and two lakes. This project aims to optimize future geothermal drilling and actively contribute to the energy transition.Context and IssuesTo ensure the smooth running of the seismic activities, a rigorous access management and land access process is essential. It allows for obtaining the necessary permits, establishing trust with local stakeholders, and efficiently coordinating exchanges with landowners and authorities. To address these challenges, SGE is strengthening its field teams and opening several junior positions for Field Access Officers for the project.The work is structured in three phases:Phase 1: Preparation and obtaining permissions before the seismic activities (6 months)Phase 2: On-site support during the seismic acquisition (5 months)Phase 3: Monitoring and managing the aftermath (1 month)RolesThe Field Access Officers act on behalf of SGE and work under the supervision of the seismic contractor, who coordinates, monitors, and manages daily activities related to the project in close and continuous contact with SGE.Main Responsibilities- Be a key point of contact for informing and communicating with landowners, farmers, fishermen, and local authorities about the seismic project.- Obtain access rights and permissions necessary for site access and equipment setup.- Provide support to field teams (vibroseis trucks, deployment of sensors) and resolve access issues as they arise.- Accompany the seismic activities on-site, including night shifts during Phase 2 (scheduled from October to March).- Maintain constructive relationships with local residents and respond clearly and professionally to questions.- Remain calm in the event of disagreement or opposition and actively contribute to de-escalating tensions on-site.- Identify, document, and monitor potential damages, including managing short-term issues (multiple positions available - entry-level).First wave: 10 Field Access Officers starting April 1. Duration: 6 months (Phase 1) or 12 months (Phases 1 to 3).Second wave: 10 additional Field Access Officers starting October. Duration: 6 months (Phases 2 and 3). Activity rate: 80–100%.Working hours: flexible, including occasionally extended hours as well as day and night shifts during seismic acquisition.Profiles or relevant professional experience in land access, fieldwork, infrastructure, environmental projects, or public engagement and stakeholder interactions.Higher education degree or equivalent professional experience valued but not mandatory. Fluent written and spoken French is essential; proficiency in German and English is a plus. A valid driver's license (frequent travel to the field) is an advantage. Strong interest in renewable energy and sustainable projects is required.
