The family sector of the Family, Youth, and Sports Service is in charge of collective pre-school and after-school care in the City of Vevey. In your role, along with several colleagues, you will take care of a group of 30 children aged 2½ to 4½ years and will handle the following main tasks: Welcome children in a safe and stimulating environment; Ensure the daily needs of children are met both individually and collectively; Support children in their learning and development according to the educational framework of the Means sector and the institutional educational concept; Organize children’s daily activities and encourage their growth through activities involving families; Enrich the educational framework through reflective practices; Actively participate in team work and institutional projects. Required skills: A Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a Federal Certificate of Competence for assistants, or an equivalent recognized by the Cantonal Child Daycare Service (SCAJE), with preferred professional experience in a relevant sector (FEE) or (PF); Ability to work in a team, good listening skills, sense of initiative and proactivity; Interest in project management and development; Flexibility, availability, and autonomy.
