Located in the Vevey region, between town and countryside, the Cité du Genévrier welcomes adults with disabilities due to intellectual impairment. A multidisciplinary and multi-site structure, it offers those it supports a particularly harmonious living and working environment as well as a range of skills tailored to the needs and aspirations of each individual.

Integrated into the Eben-Hézer Foundation, the Cité du Genévrier is the custodian of the moral testament of its founder, Sister Julie Hofmann. It thus considers the happiness of the people it supports as the ultimate goal of its work.

Mission

The "Le Laurier" group is a living space welcoming adults with intellectual disabilities who require individualised support promoting well-being, notably through care and activities involving the five senses. Within this framework, educators actively participate in outings, sports and cultural activities, various leisure pursuits, and camps. To complete the educational team, we are seeking a social educator (M/F).

Desired Profile

  • Hold a diploma as an ES or HES educator, or a CFC

  • Experience in the field of multiple disabilities is an asset

  • Be comfortable with care and non-verbal communication

  • Know how to take initiative

  • Have team spirit and a sense of ethics

  • Patient, dynamic and creative

You are proficient with common computer tools, hold a driving licence, and are willing to work irregular hours including weekends.

Working Environment

We offer you the opportunity to take part in an innovative project and to develop in a working environment conducive to fulfilling the mission and your professional fulfilment. Within the framework of this permanent contract, you will benefit from an interesting and varied internal training programme, as well as the social conditions and benefits of the collective labour agreement for the Vaud parapublic social sector, with 8 weeks’ holiday, increasing to 9 weeks from the age of 50.

Start date: 1st September 2026, 70% activity rate
