THE MISSION

The psychologists of the Transcultural Psychiatry Unit (DPT) provide brief clinical interventions with patients from the migration population of eastern Vaud. The DPT patient group is often in a situation of socio-administrative precariousness and thus requires particular, interdisciplinary follow-up.

With interdisciplinary care, they participate in the care of patients and their families through individual or paired interviews.

WE OFFER

The DPT is a specialised unit which, for some of its activities, is transversal to all services of the Fondation de Nant. Its mission is to promote the quality of care offered to patients from migration backgrounds and to support the development of theoretical and practical skills in transcultural clinical practice within the Eastern Vaud Psychiatric Sector and the regional network. Working in this unit means putting your skills at the service of patients from migration backgrounds and demonstrating a unique sensitivity to transculturality.

We offer a stimulating work environment that encourages interdisciplinary collaboration, clinical reflection and co-construction of projects according to the interests and skills of each individual.

The position also includes an active role in clinical supervision, as well as opportunities for internal and external teaching, according to areas of interest and expertise. The institution supports its staff in their professional development, notably through financial participation in continuing education.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR

A psychologist psychotherapist holding the relevant title, enabling them to fulfil a specialist role in psychology, psychotherapy and psychopathology. The candidate must have an interest in working in a multidisciplinary team and in reflecting on patient care.

Additionally, experience in transcultural clinical practice and in the field of psychotraumatology is an asset. Holding a driving licence is mandatory.
