Virtual Desktop System Engineer – 100% Assignment

Your role

As a Virtual Desktop System Engineer, you work within our client’s teams to ensure the management, operation and evolution of the Citrix platform. You are the technical reference for desktop virtualisation environments, guaranteeing their stability, performance and scalability.

You contribute to the industrialisation and automation of virtual desktop environments, integrating modern approaches such as DevOps and GitOps, aiming for standardisation and continuous service improvement.

Your mission

• You are responsible for the management and monitoring of the Citrix platform, ensuring its proper functioning and performance in shared environments.
• You administer and develop Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops infrastructures, including components such as MCS, Workspace, StoreFront, RDS and associated monitoring tools.
• You work on Windows Server 2022 and Windows 11 environments, ensuring their management, optimisation and integration into virtualised architectures.
• You participate in the industrialisation and automation of processes, applying DevOps and GitOps practices, and ensuring versioning of scripts, configurations and automation processes via Git.
• You contribute to the integration of Microsoft 365 solutions in virtualised environments, ensuring their compatibility and performance.
• You work on network and secure access components, notably via NetScaler Gateway appliances, and participate in their configuration and optimisation.
• You develop and maintain automation scripts, notably in PowerShell, to improve operational efficiency.
• You participate in the operation of infrastructures based on virtualisation technologies such as Nutanix AHV, including using the Prism console and cluster management.
• You produce technical documentation, including architecture, implementation and support documentation, contributing to the overall quality of technical deliverables.

Your profile

• Graduated in computer science (university degree or equivalent), you have proven expertise in Citrix environments, including Virtual Desktop and Virtual Apps solutions.
• You have solid experience with Windows Server 2022 and Windows 11 environments, particularly in shared contexts.
• You have a good command of DevOps and GitOps approaches, including management and versioning via Git, and automation of administration processes.
• You possess in-depth knowledge of NetScaler Gateway components, as well as virtualisation environments such as Nutanix AHV.
• You are comfortable with PowerShell scripting, which you use to automate and optimise operational tasks.
• You master French, have a good level of technical English, and knowledge of German is an asset.
• You demonstrate excellent writing skills, enabling you to produce clear, structured and usable documentation.
• You are recognised for your team spirit, your ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams, as well as your autonomy and rigour in demanding environments.
