Description of the companyA leading Swiss financial institution, renowned for commodity trade finance, wealth management, and treasury services, is looking for a hands-on, Trade Finance Specialist. You will be at the heart of complex documentary credit transactions, ensuring letters of credit, collections, and guarantees are executed efficiently, and in compliance with global rules.Position:Joining a busy, collegial large team, this is a hands-on and client-facing documentary credit position within the bank's Trade Finance division. The position focuses on the full processing of letters of credit, collections, and guarantees, ensuring each transaction runs smoothly, efficiently, and in line with standards. The successful candidate will act as a key link between clients, internal teams, and external banking counterparts. This role is client-facing and involves working closely with internal teams and partners across borders. You will handle multi-bank, multi-currency transactions, UCP 600, URC 522, URDG 758, and applicable sanctions/export controls (SECO, EU, OFAC). Your expertise will help maintain the bank's reputation for precision, reliability, and excellence in trade finance.Responsibilities:- Manage and execute the full life cycle of documentary credits, collections, and guarantees for assigned portfolios.- Deliver timely and precise handling of client and correspondent instructions, ensuring compliance with internal and external policies.- Provide technical guidance to managers, clients, and internal stakeholders on trade finance matters.- Communicate consistent with managers, providing updates on clients positions and transaction progress.- Contribute to the quality and efficiency of the bank's trade finance service by collaborating with other departments and sharing knowledge.Profile:- Banking diploma, CFC, or equivalent commercial education.- 3+ years of experience in trade finance and documentary credits.- Deep knowledge of letters of credit, collections, guarantees, and cross-border trade.- Awareness of sanctions, compliance, and export control regulations.- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.- In-depth understanding of letters of credit, collections, and guarantees, and the rules governing them (UCP, URC, URDG).- Fluency in French and English.- Must hold a valid Swiss work permit or be eligible (frontalier accepted); candidates willing to relocate are also welcome. jid9140b03aen jit0418aen jpiy26aen
