Territory Sales Manager – Optics, Western & Central Switzerland
Description
Our client is an internationally established manufacturer of high-quality contact lenses and contact lens care products that is continuing to expand its sales organization in Switzerland. Their offering combines innovative products with expert consultation, training, and tailored solutions for opticians and contact lens specialists. In addition to supporting and developing existing customers, they focus strongly on building long-term partnerships. For Western and Central Switzerland, they’re looking for an independent and customer-focused professional who combines expertise in optics with an interest in a commercial field sales role.
Responsibilities
- Manage the Western and Central Switzerland sales territory within the B2B distribution of contact lenses and contact lens care products.
- Support and systematically develop existing customers, particularly opticians, optical retailers, and contact lens specialists.
- Provide expert advice on contact lens fitting, refraction, and product-specific applications while building long-term customer relationships.
- Plan, organize, and deliver product training, customer workshops, and events, as well as represent the company at trade fairs.
- Independently plan customer visits, appointments, and territory activities while maintaining structured and efficient reporting.
- Collaborate closely with the DACH organization and marketing team and attend quarterly meetings in Germany.
Requirements
- Strong professional background in optics, ideally as a qualified optician or master optician; alternatively, relevant experience in sales management.
- Solid knowledge of contact lenses, contact lens fitting, and refraction; previous sales experience is advantageous but not required.
- Business-fluent German and French.
- High degree of independence and self-organization, combined with a strong commercial and customer-oriented mindset.
- Category B driving licence, solid PC skills, particularly Microsoft Office, and willingness to travel approximately 85–90% of the time.
- Professional and confident customer presence, strong planning and organizational skills, and willingness to stay overnight when required and attend regular meetings in Germany.
