Main Responsibilities

CPE Portfolio Management

• Continuously maintain and improve the current portfolio of Salt CPE and repeaters.
• Report field issues to CPE suppliers, resolve problems, and provide structured data to support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Coordinate and actively participate in regular technical meetings with CPE suppliers to align responsibilities, priorities, and action plans.
• Define the scope and content of firmware maintenance updates.
• Develop and execute validation test plans for supplier firmware releases.
• Participate in inter-OpCo technical forums within the Group to promote harmonised CPE specifications and solutions.

New Product Selection and Development

• Implement RFI/RFQ processes for selecting new CPE and extension products.
• Contribute to end-to-end development of new CPE and extenders:
  • Define and maintain technical specifications.
  • Contribute to decisions regarding hardware, casing, and packaging design.
  • Work closely with supplier project managers to define and track project timelines (DVT, PVT, firmware updates, certifications, validations, launch preparation).
  • Collaborate with Salt IT and network teams to ensure readiness for new product launch.
  • Work with marketing and sales teams to ensure successful product launches, migrations, and subscription growth.
  • Manage firmware deployment and monitoring via the CPE ACS platform.
  • Work closely with support and customer service teams to gather customer feedback and resolve field issues.

Connected Home and Platform Evolution

• Contribute to the development of new connected home services (e.g., device security, gateway security, service-aware QoS).
• Participate in defining, deploying, and managing the lifecycle of CPE management systems.
• Lead small to medium-sized technical projects in the connected home domain.
• Host internal technical forums to present new features, solve complex issues, and shape future solutions.
• Collaborate with domain experts within the organisation to build a shared technical vision and reach consensus.
• Prepare clear and impactful technical documentation and communication materials for internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Take responsibility for technical decisions and successfully deliver assigned projects.

What You Bring

• Master's degree in telecommunications or electrical engineering.
• 5 years of experience with network equipment and CPE platforms.
• 3 years of experience managing small to medium-sized projects in the telecommunications sector.
• Deep technical expertise in several of the following areas:
  • CPE hardware and firmware
  • TR-069 / TR-369
  • Wi-Fi technologies
  • XGS-PON / FTTH
  • VoIP
  • IoT
  • Linux
  • xDSL
• Proven hands-on experience working with production systems and real devices – not limited to documentation or tender processes.
• Strong technical curiosity and continuous learning mindset; autonomous and comfortable exploring unknown areas.
• Ability to define long-term technical direction while remaining pragmatic and results-oriented.
• Sound technical judgement to assess supplier solutions and technology maturity with limited information.
• Confidence to constructively challenge assumptions and suppliers while remaining open to feedback.
• Team spirit and ability to collaborate effectively, comfortable in deep technical working sessions with colleagues and suppliers.
• Structured individual, capable of hierarchical problem-solving, excellent prioritisation skills, and impact-focused.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to explain complex topics to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proactive, approachable, and quality-focused personality.
• Proficiency in English (C1 level or higher). Knowledge of other languages is an asset.
