Based in Visp, Switzerland, the Technical Administration Specialist in Knowledge Management plays a pivotal role in supporting global Substance Master Data Management. This position is responsible for the accurate documentation, validation, and lifecycle management of research records within global systems, ensuring compliance with GMP standards and internal quality requirements. Acting independently, the specialist brings expert knowledge of chemical data management, system validation, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure data integrity and system reliability. Key Responsibilities Chemical Substance Management: Register and maintain chemical substances in compliance with IUPAC standards using tools like ChemDraw, ACDLabs, REAXYS, and SciFinder. Ensure data quality by crafting identifiers and standardized nomenclature. Knowledge and Documentation Lifecycle: Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of research documentation, including lab notebooks, reports, SOPs, and product sheets, ensuring compliance with GMP and internal standards. System Ownership and Support: Act as a subject matter expert for global systems (CIS, DMS, SAP), performing validation, troubleshooting, and user support. Conduct database queries and compile data for reporting. Training, Collaboration, and Compliance: Offer training and mentorship to internal users, develop SOPs, and represent the team in cross-functional projects. Cultivate strong collaborator relationships and assist with ongoing improvement efforts. Project and Process Management: Independently manage assigned projects, support efficient logistics, and serve as deputy to the Head of Knowledge Management when needed. Qualifications Education: EFZ degree or equivalent experience in Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, or Information Technology Languages: Native German and business-fluent English Technical Skills: Experience with chemical software (e.g., ChemDraw, ACDLabs), and systems like CIS, DMS, and SAP.
