The Vaud Hospitals (FHVi) is the preferred partner of more than 12 hospitals and regional health institutions in the canton of Vaud. FHVi supports them in the many challenges of digital health and is primarily responsible for planning, designing, implementing, and operating the information system for its members. There are over 110 people serving a network of more than 100 workstations distributed across about a hundred geographical sites in three cantons (VD, VS, FR).Are you passionate about IT and technologies? Within the Systems team, made up of 11 multidisciplinary engineers, you will play a central role in maintaining, evolving, and managing the infrastructure. You will mainly intervene in the IT infrastructure – Microsoft, Linux, storage, backup, data center – ensuring architectural coherence, as well as security and compliance in varied environments.**Key Responsibilities:**1. **Maintenance and Evolution of the Information System (IS):** - Actively participate in the analysis of systems environments and in implementing best practices across the board. - Design and deploy solutions aimed at simplifying infrastructures and automating recurring tasks (via PowerShell, Ansible, Puppet, Terraform, OpCon, etc.). - Contribute to systems management processes, aligned with objectives of reliability, security, performance, and complexity reduction. - Ensure the operational condition of the systems while anticipating the necessary evolutions to meet future needs.2. **Infrastructure Management:** - Collaborate in managing the infrastructure and associated equipment (servers, storage, etc.). - Install and configure servers according to existing procedures and best practices. - Manage the lifecycle of IT infrastructure components: applying updates, version upgrades, renewing services, decommissioning obsolete systems. - Monitor systems using monitoring tools and ensure resilience and security.3. **Support:** - Provide level 2 and 3 support in relation to requests and incidents raised through the service management tool. - Document procedures, knowledge, and best practices to ensure knowledge continuity within the team. - Participate in on-call services as per the established conditions.**Profile:**- Higher education in IT (Bachelor's or Master's), or equivalent qualifications.- Minimum 10 years of experience as a systems engineer in a similar role, ideally in a complex environment.- Technical Skills: - Proficiency in automation and orchestration tools: OpCon, Terraform, Puppet, PowerShell, Ansible. - Proficiency in VMware vSphere/ESXi, vCenter, cluster and resource management. - Proficiency in infrastructure monitoring with tools such as Zabbix (deployment, proactive monitoring). - Proficiency in backup solutions: Veeam Backup & Replication (or similar), disaster recovery/backup solutions. - Good knowledge of the Microsoft ecosystem: Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, Microsoft 365, PKI, WSUS, RDS farms. - Good understanding of complex architectures: high availability, active-active, security by design, load balancers, NAS/SAN storage, firewalls, schedulers, networks, SSO, monitoring, VPN, messaging. - Familiarity with Linux environments: scripting, working in professional infrastructures; holding certifications (Microsoft, VMware, etc.) would be an asset.- Ability to analyze user needs and translate them into relevant technical solutions.- Ability to solve complex problems autonomously while collaborating effectively with other team members.- Ability to align technical choices with long-term goals and needs, anticipating technological evolutions to provide continuous improvements.- Rigor, sense of responsibility, and good writing skills, especially for technical documentation.- Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify technical concepts for varied audiences (technical and non-technical).- Team spirit, service-oriented mindset, and a passion for sharing knowledge.**Languages:**- French: excellent oral and written proficiency.- English: ability to communicate clearly in a professional context (technical discussions, etc.).**Activity Rate:** 100%**What We Offer:**- A stimulating opportunity to grow in the healthcare sector, a constantly evolving and meaningful field.- The possibility of actively contributing to ambitious digital projects underway.- A pleasant working environment, located at the green site of Cery in Prilly, within a human-sized organization that values team spirit and proximity.- Employment conditions in accordance with current regulations at FHVi: - 13th salary - 25 vacation days per year (30 days from the age of 50) - Access to continuous training to support your professional development - Possibility of remote work (40% depending on conditions) - Subsidized on-site parking and easy access by public transport.Looking for your next adventure?
