As the superior judicial authority of the Canton of Vaud, the Cantonal Court assumes the dual role of judicial authority and management of the Vaud judicial order. It is composed of 45 cantonal judges and substitute judges, elected for the duration of the legislature, as well as a registry serving its various courts.

To complete the existing team, the Cantonal Court, which employs nearly 200 magistrates and collaborators, is looking for a specialised case manager.

Responsibilities

  • Independently manage and monitor the registry files of the Administrative and Public Law Court, mastering the procedures and business processes related to the field.
  • Analyse and process the various stages of the procedure related to file management, ensuring that all documents are complete and compliant.
  • Collaborate in organising and scheduling hearings, auditions, and consultations by determining the degree of urgency.
  • Manage the handling, routing, and dispatch of various correspondences, prioritising according to deadlines and legal timeframes.
  • Draft certain decisions under the signature of the judge or any other authorised person.
  • Provide counter and telephone service by informing litigants, lawyers, and partner services about procedures, deadlines, and useful documentation.

Qualifications

  • Federal VET Diploma as a commercial employee, or any equivalent qualification
  • Two years of professional experience in judicial administration, in a lawyer's or notary's office.
  • Sense of public service and stress resistance
  • Good writing skills and excellent spelling, autonomous work under the responsibility of the hierarchical superior
  • Knowledge of common IT tools, speed, rigour, precision, and discretion.

As part of the recruitment process, candidates will be required to present an extract from the debt collection register and a criminal record less than 3 months old.

Engagement at a lower salary grade is possible if the duration of experience related to judicial administration, in a lawyer's or notary's office, is insufficient at the time of hiring.
