Attached to the Vaud Judicial Order, the nine peace courts of the canton rule in first instance in civil matters. They are also authorities for the protection of adults and children.

The Peace Court of the Lavaux-Oron district, which employs more than 15 magistrates and collaborators, is looking for a specialised case manager.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the management and monitoring of registry files independently, mastering the procedures and business processes related to the field.
  • Analyse and process the various stages of the procedure related to file management, verifying that all documents are complete and compliant.
  • Collaborate in organising and scheduling hearings, interviews and consultations by determining the degree of urgency.
  • Manage the handling, routing and dispatch of various correspondence by prioritising according to deadlines and legal timeframes.
  • Draft certain decisions under the signature of the judge or any other authorised person.
  • Provide counter and telephone service by informing litigants, lawyers and partner services about procedures, deadlines and useful documentation.

Qualifications

  • Federal VET Diploma as a commercial employee, or any equivalent qualification
  • Two years’ professional experience in judicial administration, in a law firm or notary’s office.
  • Sense of public service and stress resistance
  • Good writing skills and excellent spelling, autonomous work under the responsibility of the hierarchical superior
  • Flexibility to provide counter and telephone service
  • Knowledge of common IT tools, speed, rigour, precision and discretion.

As part of the recruitment process, candidates will be required to present an extract from the debt collection register and a criminal record less than 3 months old.

Engagement at the lower salary scale is possible if the duration of experience related to judicial administration, in a law firm or notary’s office, is insufficient at the time of hiring.
