Specialized Teacher - 100%The Sgipa School is a private, subsidized specialized secondary II institution that welcomes nearly 150 students with learning disabilities and significant academic delays. The specialized teaching teams and psychologists support students in building an individualized project adapted to their abilities and goals. The Sgipa School curriculum is structured into two distinct cycles. Cycle 1 is a cycle that welcomes students who need to develop their autonomy. It focuses on the development of their pre-professional, academic, and social skills to allow each student to build a realistic, individualized professional project. Cycle 2 is a cycle lasting one to two years. It promotes progress in academic and professional areas. Students concretize their professional project and orient themselves toward the world of work with or without additional training. To complete our Cycle 1 team, we are looking for a:Specialized Teacher - 100%Your mission- define the program, organize courses, and ensure class supervision in accordance with the school's pedagogical line;- choose teaching methods and tools by adapting them to the specific needs of the students;- ensure the proper functioning of the classes and groups entrusted to you through personalized student care, including during breaks and meals;- organize camps, outings, visits outside the school, as well as professional internships;- collaborate closely with the school's psychologists, the students' families, and the school's partner bodies;- participate in reflection and teamwork regarding student follow-up and the general organization of Cycle 1;- develop and ensure the follow-up of the individualized project (PEI);- develop the skills assessment;- perform accounting and administrative tasks related to class management, keep individual student files up to date, and write reports.Your profile- University Master's degree in specialized teaching (MESP), Master's in educational sciences, or a title deemed equivalent;- Experience in the field of supervising young people with special needs, in specialized teaching, and/or in specialized education;- Knowledge of the Geneva network;- Writing skills and mastery of office tools.We offer- A stimulating work environment and a mission with high human value;- Possibilities for professional development.Activity rate: 100%Contract type: Permanent contractStart date: As of AugustYour complete application file (cover letter, curriculum vitae, copies of diplomas, and work certificates) must be sent by June 27.
