We are at home throughout Europe and always close to you.Software EngineerBe your best with BechtleOn behalf of our banking client based in Geneva, we are looking for a Software Engineer responsible for designing, developing, operating, and evolving on-prem hosting solutions, with a high level of requirements in terms of reliability, security, and performance.Mission- Design, develop, operate, and evolve on-prem hosting solutions while ensuring their availability, resilience, and maintainability.- Develop internal APIs, tools, and scripts aimed at improving efficiency, standardizing processes, and reducing risks.- Manage the lifecycle of applications and services in production, including deployment, configuration, observability, updates, and resolution of complex incidents.- Promote and implement modern software engineering, CI/CD, DevOps, and SRE practices in order to industrialize solutions and raise their quality level.- Lead or coordinate structuring technical topics, contribute to the technology roadmap, support teams on best practices, and participate in the on-call service.Profile- Higher education in IT, software engineering, engineering, or equivalent, with confirmed experience of at least 5 years in a role of DevOps Engineer, Software Engineer, SRE, or similar function.- Very good command of software development and scripting, with a demonstrated ability to design technical components, internal tools, or APIs; Python required, experience in Go, Java, Bash, or PowerShell is a plus.- Mastery of software engineering practices: code quality, testability, code review, maintainability, CI/CD, and deployment methods.- Experience with production and infrastructure environments, particularly Linux, observability, logging, configuration management, as well as cloud environments and understanding of cross-functional architecture topics such as security, networking, and IAM, in demanding production environments.- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, to carry technical topics from end to end, to advise other teams, and to advance practices with pedagogy.- Fluent French and English, with Swiss residency or willingness to relocate for the start of the position.Offer- Advantageous working conditions: 6 weeks of vacation per year and a pension plan.- Development and enhancement of potential: wide range of professional and personal training offered by the Bechtle Academy.- Diversity: interesting and changing tasks in a future-oriented sector.Bechtle Suisse SABechtle Suisse SA has certified skills in the fields: IT Infrastructure, Management, Managed Services, Skills Management, Analytics, Printing Solutions, and E-Commerce.
