Software Engineer - Java/Node For our client in Krakow, we are looking for a Software Engineer with experience in Java and/or Node (ideally both ????), to design, build and maintain internal tooling that supports Future State Architecture, FSA initiatives across CTO Platforms and develop backend services and APIs + integrate apps with PostreSQL and other enterprise data sources. To be successful in this role you should have Strong software engineering expertise using Nodejs andor Java Experience designing and developing enterprise backend services and APIs Strong PostgreSQL experience including data modelling and query optimisation Experience with modern JavaScriptTypeScriptbased UI frameworks Knowledge of Agentic AI and Autonomous AI Agent orchestration Experience implementing MCP Model Context Protocol Experience with Tool Calling and Function Calling integration patterns Strong API Design and Integration experience Solution Design and Architecture experience for enterprise platforms and tooling Strong understanding of Production Engineering practices including Security Resilience Performance Observability Automated Testing Experience building internal engineering platforms and developer tooling contract: This is a freelance role with an initial 6 month contract + possibility of extensions hybrid: 2-3 on sight in the office in Krakow start date: asap language: english
