Social Assistants for the Protection of Minors Job Description As a social assistant within a regional office for the protection of minors (ORPM), you assess the living conditions of minors and propose support measures. You request and inform the judicial authorities regarding child protection. Your mission is specifically focused on protecting minors at risk in their development and contributing to the important mission of protecting minors while responding to the growing number of cases assigned to the General Directorate for Childhood and Youth. We are currently looking for several social assistants for the protection of minors (ASPM) to complete the teams of our various offices. Each social assistant is assigned to a single office. Responsibilities Fulfill the protection mission by assessing the living conditions of minors and proposing support measures while handling around sixty interventions for minors and their families. Participate in activities of the regional office for the protection of minors (guardianship, meetings, in pairs for certain working groups, etc.) and in sessions organized by the service (plenary, working group, etc.). Appear in court hearings as an expert. Continuously maintain and develop your skills as per the requirements set by the service and according to personal needs validated by management. A Bachelor’s degree from a recognized social school of the type HES (social work program) or a university degree (Bachelor or Master) is considered useful for the performance of the job. SEFRI recognition is required for diplomas. Skills in the field of child and family development, as well as legal knowledge in family law, are essential. Aptitude for conducting difficult interviews and managing conflicts, particularly within the framework of constrained aid. Ability to be flexible and manage stress. High-level analytical, synthesis, and writing skills.
