Joining our organization means actively participating in the development of a sustainable and innovative municipality, while benefiting from working conditions favorable to the balance between professional and private life.To complete its Municipal Police service, the Municipality is looking for a Sergeant at 100% - Class 15Your mission:- Implement the action plans and objectives defined by the Head of Service;- Guarantee the operation, activities, and missions of the service;- Coordinate the various activities and monitor the progress of work and the execution of tasks;- Establish the schedules for Municipal Police Agents (MPA) including school crossings;- Guarantee the implementation of the policy in terms of prevention and municipal security, by enforcing federal, cantonal, and municipal law in the areas of competence defined by the cantonal regulation and by applying the conventions signed by the municipal authorities, as well as the directives of the Public Prosecutor's Office;- Guarantee public tranquility and health, as well as security, according to available means;- Coordinate checks carried out by private security and the follow-up of their reports;- Provide information to the public on laws and regulations in the areas of competence of the MPAs;- Coordinate actions with internal (other services) and external partners;- Guarantee the smooth running of operations according to available means and participate in transversal activities with other municipal services;- In the absence of the Head of Service, ensure substitution, respond to requests from employees, and disseminate information to them, notably through regular meetings, and communicate regularly with the Corporal.- Also assume the function of Deputy Station Chief.Your profile:- You hold a Federal Certificate for Municipal Police Agents or a deemed equivalent qualification supplemented by training in management;- You have worked in one or more areas of law enforcement on Swiss territory for at least 5 years;- You can justify several years of professional experience as a sergeant or corporal with a level of responsibility similar to the position offered;- You have excellent writing skills and mastery of standard computer tools;- You have a good knowledge of Genevan political institutions;- You have an analytical mind, a good sense of organization, and a good capacity for synthesis;- You possess an excellent sense of service and know how to demonstrate diplomacy and discretion;- You are moderate and capable of taking a step back.Start date: to be agreed uponAre you ready to take on this new challenge with talent and commitment?
