For an
international company in the global agribusiness market in 4333 Münchwilen (Aargau) we are looking
for a Senior Packaging Engineer - temporary assignment (100%), min. 2 years



Responsibilities

• Coordinates specific project components, collaborating with team members to ensure timely
completion


• Monitors progress against defined milestones, identifies potential issues, and proposes
solutions


• Translates design briefs into innovative, cost-effective and compliant solutions leveraging
material knowledge and manufacturing technologies


• Generates innovative packaging ideas with customer focus, evaluates opportunities and
challenges, develops pilots to test new concepts in low-risk settings, and seeks inspiration
from other industries


• Ensures packaging complies with regional legislation and meets legal requirements for
transporting dangerous goods


• Ensures that all operations under direct control comply with Syngenta Health, Safety &
Environment policies


• Contributes to collaboration and interaction with other PT&E groups (Analytical, , Application,
Formulation development and Formulation Engineering) and Logistics to support delivering
the best product experience for our customers


• Engage with external collaborators, including universities and suppliers, to support the
application of science and technology


• Begin contributing to solving business challenges with guidance


• Prioritize tasks independently, managing time to meet deadlines. Show initiative in
identifying resource needs and seeking support as required


• Estimates project costs, evaluates supplier bids, and monitors costs against budget


• Follows standard operational excellence procedures


• Defines packaging qualification protocols, executes qualification studies, recommends
acceptance criteria under supervision


• Applies basic fill & pack knowledge to packaging design work, identifies when to consult Fill &
Pack engineers, and collaborates with them on joint packaging/filling activities


• Creates and maintains elements for packaging in the master data management systems
through its lifecycle, provides feedback for improvements and guides and supports other
users of packaging data management systems


• Follows established packaging quality control procedures and guidelines, performing basic
quality checks on filled and packed products to ensure compliance with specifications, and
reports any deviations or non-conformities



Profile

• Degree (Bsc, MSc,diploma) in Packaging Engineering or equivalent professional qualification
and / or relevant experience


• The position requires 3–5 years of packaging engineering experience, strong data
management capability, and project coordination skills to maintain overview, ensure
interconnection between workstreams, and support compliant implementation of packaging-
related requirements


• Has successfully led pack development projects


• Experience in applying cross-functional stakeholder management at a local level
