### **Candidate Profile** ###

* You hold a Bachelor / Master-s degree in one of these fields: Legal, Finance or Engineering.
* You have a minimum of 3 years of professional experience working in a commodity-trading environment (preferably gas & Power) on a Middle Office position or as a Compliance officer handling market monitoring / surveillance.
* You have in-depth knowledge of MAR, MiFID, EMIR, REMIT & local Swiss FinFrag
* An experience on the Short-term aspect of market compliance and on CCGTs monitoring in relation with REMIT requirements is a plus.

* You have developed strong analytical and systems skills.
* Proven communication and presentation skills, oral and written, with ability to communicate with a variety of individuals and personalities both internal and outside the organization
* Ability to solve problems, think critically, make sound, firm recommendations while resolving complex and sensitive regulatory issues.
* Ability to prioritize job requirements in a high pressure, multi-tasking environment, strong time management and organizational skills.
* Ability to work across the organization to balance market compliance requirements with commercial opportunities and business objectives.
* You have gained experience with various EU commodity exchanges and commodity derivative trading, particularly in the EU/UK

We have an exciting new opportunity to join our TotalEnergies Gas and Power (TGP) Compliance Team in Geneva as a Senior Market Compliance Officer.

**What you will do**

**Activities**






Under the general supervisor of the head of compliance, the Senior Market Compliance officer works across the trading organization as a subject matter expert in regulatory affairs and market compliance surveillance.  He/she will be responsible for: General aspects 


Providing guidance and oversight by researching, planning, developing, and implementing compliance controls that help ensure the Company meets all local and European regulatory requirements.
Monitoring and interpreting local and European regulations (REMIT II, MiFID II, Market Abuse Directive -) and staying informed of current and changing requirements. 
Providing advice and assistance to internal departments of regulatory requirements.  
Ensuring compliance department has adequate IT systems in place including but not limited to trade surveillance software. Managing the updating and development of such IT systems (in conjunction with IT and other relevant departments).
Ensuring Company's Compliance Documents are deployed and adapted to each sub-activity and keep these documents up to date.
Developing and conducting employee training on the relevant requirements.  

Trade Surveillance for Power Short-term & Long-term activities and Gas & LNG Long term activities


Working with Compliance analyst on analysing market abuse alerts.
Working with Compliance analyst on Calibrate and adapting Surveillance tool to a better monitoring. 
Maintaining a dialogue with trade surveillance software provider to participate to the improvement of the tool and to the user-s community meetings.
Assisting the head of compliance in establishing control processes for comprehensive monitoring and surveillance tool design.
Enhancing processes and tools to continuously improve the organizations monitoring capabilities and adapts the program to changes in the business and external laws and regulations. 
Assisting with the identification and creation of new surveillance reports. 

REMIT - Compliance Process Supervision for Power production assets & Short-term teams.


Monitoring REMIT KRIs about notification delays and investigating in case of delays.
Maintaining a continuous review & improvement of the REMIT Process for European production assets and dispatching teams and contribute to the IT projects related to this process in relation with other entities involved.

Advisory and Trainings


Providing ad hoc regulatory guidance to the organization (local teams in Europe) and senior management on market regulatory issues.
Planning and delivering bespoke training programs related to REMIT and market abuse regulations to local teams.
Participating to compliance market compliance on-boarding programs for new joiners (team level, entity level).
Participating to the preparatory meetings for validation of new trading products.

 Regulatory watch and communication with regulators and other institutions


Keeping a watch on local & European regulations changes and provide executive summaries to the management.
Competitor procedures watch through regulators communication and other institutions.
Assisting in providing supporting data and documents and in writing answer to regulators requests for RFI or investigations.
Answering requests from exchange houses.
Participating in industry stakeholder meetings, advocacy, regulatory proceedings, and market rulemaking on the behalf of the company.

TotalEnergies Gas & Power Limited installed its European trading hub across in Geneva, which now bring together teams around all trading activities in power, gas, sulphur and renewables across Europe and the UK. This role interfaces with several internal departments (Front-Office, Middle-Office and Risk, Operations, Legal, IT-).  




The Compliance team is dedicated to contribute to the protection of TotalEnergies Gas & Power Limited (TGP) by helping to ensure that its market activities are in accordance with the applicable laws and internal rules. This is an opportunity to join and contribute to the design, development, implementation, and execution of the surveillance programme. Whilst the primary responsibility is conducting surveillance analysis at an expert level, responsibilities also include providing support on the implementation of surveillance systems (Trade and Communications), partnering with compliance colleagues, IT, surveillance vendors. You will also contribute to the delivery and execution of the operating model, e.g. data quality, calibration, metrics, quality assurance, procedures, etc.
